Cygnus II Update - Valentine's Day Release Print
G-1 Cygnus II (Firmware revision 2.0pl2) - r2.0pl2-20060214

  • Valentine's Day release.  -------'---.-'--{@  (it is a rose)
  • Enabled rotor sounds. They aren't as nice as I'd like, and probably won't be until  SL's sound engine gets some serious upgrades. These were not implemented before due to lots of blurping noises apparent during testing, but it seems this isn't as much a problem as it was before. Rotor sounds can be disabled via the System -> Volume menu.
  • Volume menu now has its own submenu, rather than asking you to type.
  • Fixed a bug where the Cygnus Tactical System (cannons) reset every attach. They should only reset on owner change (i.e. the first time you attach a copy.)
  • AOA is now handled as a float rather than an integer in the physics engine. This may provide slightly smoother handling while making tiny pitch adjustments during helicopter operation.
  • Added "Vertical Speed" and "Direction" to the titles for Cyclic and Collective in the heli section, to make it a bit more scannable.
  • Fixed some places where the aircraft still refers to itself as G-1 Cygnus Autogyro. (Should be G-1 Cygnus II Gyrocopter)
  • Added advisement that during preloading, the touch menu is unavailable.
  • Aircraft now has modify permissions turned on. Hell, why not? Just make sure you have backup copies before you start messing with the geometry!

As usual, this is a free update for current Cygnus owners. Just send Huns Valen an IM, and be prepared to rez your current copy.
