Cygnus II gets physics update, VHI FC Print

The VHI Cygnus II Gyrocopter now has updated physics and comes with the VHI Flight Computer. Here's the changelog:

  • You can find this in the gyrocopter's contents (right click it and select Open.) Drag this to your inventory. The VHI FC has a lot of neat features that you may find useful while operating the Cygnus II, as well as other vehicles (or just running around on foot!) When used with this vehicle, it displays the HUD text. You can type /hud off (or use the System touch menu) to disable the normal HUD that is displayed above the vehicle, and the VHI FC will take over. This is especially useful in mouselook.
  • Rotor speed now displayed in RPM again. That is how it would be in a real gyro.
  • Rotor speed calculations overhauled to be a lot more accurate to real-world behavior.
  • Physics simulation adjusted to accomodate new rotor speed behavior. Jump takeoff now sets throttle to 50% rather than 33%.
  • Increased max translation speed (i.e. motion forward or backward) while in heli mode. Was about 30 knots, now about 40 knots.

As always, this is a free update for existing Cygnus owners. Send Huns Valen an IM and be prepared to rez your current Cygnus.
